Meet Ruth:

A UK-born personal stylist, trend forecaster and designer, Ruth Stiefel, is the go-to style consultant in Fairfield County, Connecticut. Having cultivated a rapport with her warm personality, eclectic style and uncanny identification of fashion trends, Ruth has created a niche for curating functional fashion for women across life-style, industry and life-phase.

Her passion for clothing and sharing the empowering experience of how personal style can help you feel more confident sets Ruth apart from others in the style space. Ruth works with a variety of clients ranging from business women and socialites to soccer moms. She also styles for special charity events. Linked by a common fashion thread, women turn to Ruth for style guidance to help them excel in their respective environments. Caring deeply about your unique needs, Ruth meets you where you’re at on your fashion journey, so you can proceed together, one step at a time.

Ruth began her career in fashion by designing for well known labels in England and quickly earned a name for herself designing for fashion brands like All Saints and Top Shop. Her work has been featured in magazines like Shape, People and Cosmopolitan. While traveling across the globe as a designer for multiple companies, Ruth gained unique fashion and cultural experiences in countries including France, Brazil, India and Turkey, which continue to inspire her work today. It was after meeting her husband and discovering a mutual affinity for the US that Ruth decided to follow an opportunity to style and design in America.

Since settling in the greater New York area, Ruth has maintained her momentum. In 2019, she was invited to work for Tom Ford at the country’s premiere fashion industry event, New York Fashion Week. This experience has been the pinnacle of her career to date – recognizing her sought-after talent as a designer and stylist.

Educated and trained at some of the most prestigious design schools in England, North Lindsey College for Art & Design and the University of Leeds, Ruth stays in close contact with her school friends and fashion peers. When she isn’t making the world a more fashionable place, Ruth donates her time by working with special needs children and adults in Connecticut at the New Canaan Mounted Troop and also volunteers with the Young Women’s League of New Canaan to raise awareness and funds for local charities like The Circle of Care and Kids Helping Kids. Ruth resides in New Canaan with her daughter.
